RVing with Murphy…as in Murphy’s Law

Our time at Jetty Park is quickly coming to an end. If we were getting more consistent Florida like weather, I’d be reluctant to leave here. I like the campground, I like the beaches, I like the towns of Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beach and everything we need is relatively close by. BUT, we are due in North Fort Myers on Monday. We’ve been keeping an eye on the weather down that way and it’s been holding steady with warmer temps. Of course with the luck we’ve been having, that could change once we arrive.

What luck you ask, well as I stated in my previous post, the furnace isn’t working, then the water pump quit while overnighting on our way here  and now, the main tv is no longer. Yep, Don turned it on one morning to watch the news, it popped loudly one time, then the screen went black. Oh, and the outside water heater cover blew off and is nowhere to be found. We have much to tackle when we make it to Seminole Campground. To top it off, my anxiety disorder is still giving me fits most days so we’ve been laying low lately.

We’ve spent our time at Jetty Park taking walks along the beach, sitting outside reading when the weather permits, gawking at the cruise ships as they pass by, going out to lunch and shopping at Ron Jon’s of Cocoa Beach, and Don’s been working on his music. Basically we’re acting like a couple of laid back tourists. Not much to blog about. Hang with me though, surely the tide will turn.

  1. Thank you for the kind words Ingrid. I’ve been down this road before as well & know that it will pass with a little hard work. Maybe this lifestyle with all of its uncertainty contributes to the anxiety but truth be told, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Have a safe, happy, & wonderful Christmas & New Year.

  2. I can so relate to ‘Murphy’ and anxiety…. been there done that. It makes me cringe whenever someone comments ‘your living a dream’ because there’s been times it’s more like a nightmare. But this too shall pass, and there will be calmer waters ahead. Hang in there!
