Said good-bye to northern Indiana this morning. The bandit that has been stealing from our bird feeders at night even showed up to bid us adieu, as did a few of our little feathered friends. Wouldn’t you know it, the elusive red-headed woodpecker was out; first time I’d finally laid eyes on him & our camera was already packed away. Que sera, sera.
Made our way to Monroe, Michigan to visit with our daughter Leslie, son-in-law Jeff, & our youngest grandchild Ava. Leslie is still recuperating from surgery in which half of her thyroid was removed. A biopsy determined her nodules to be benign. Praise God for answered prayers!
After a short visit we all headed out to dinner before Jeff had to go to bed for a few hours of sleep before having to work the graveyard shift. Of course we went to our favorite restaurant in the whole USA. A little unassuming hole-in-the-wall place called The Matador. (And yes Kristi, we had a botana w/o you- AGAIN). I have been eating at this restaurant my entire life & I have ordered the exact same meal each & every time. REALLY! A large Botana Supreme to share & a chicken taco on the side, & yes, to me it truly is manna from heaven.
We are currently parked at Camp Lord Willing RV Park. This is our first time here & we both agree it’s our kind of campground. Quiet, clean & very scenic, not to mention very convenient for visiting with our family.
It’s been a long day for the three of us. I believe I’ll wrap this up & bid you all goodnight.
Here’s lookin’ at you kid…………………………….
